Managing General Agent ADVA Underwriting (ADVA) has announced that Gordon Burrows joins as Head of Solutions.
As part of ADVA’s expansion plans, the independent global MGA welcomes Gordon Burrows to the team.
With over 35 years of experience, Gordon is widely recognised as an expert in the creation, regulation, and operation of MGAs. He is a very active member of the MGA community, and a member of numerous market forums.
Gordon has held a number of binders including the creation, management and underwriting of a European commercial property portfolio. He has assisted numerous MGAs develop product, operational and regulatory solutions across both domestic (UK) and international jurisdictions (Europe, US, Canada and Asia).
Speaking about his new role, Gordon had this to say: “I am extremely pleased and excited to join the ADVA Group at a time when the Group is looking to expand the business and diversify. The ADVA business has strong values and is a people centric organisation. These values are a rare commodity, and I will be maintaining those core values as we look to expand our proposition.”
In his new role, Gordon will help ADVA develop an exciting and innovative subsidiary.
The new service has been created to meet demand from underwriters. Many seek more entrepreneurial freedom than they currently have inside big organisations. They also seek better rewards for their business growth success. However, they still need the support that they might not find out on their own.
ADVA will fill this gap, giving these underwriters the best of both worlds – freedom and support.
Under Gordon’s leadership, the new Group company will be designed to attract entrepreneurial underwriters, across multiple product lines, to join our Group and share in future growth.
